House of Prayer

"And He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a ‘den of thieves.’ ” (Matt. 21: 13)

Notice that the church (temple) was not to be called "a house of preaching." Nor was it called a "house of praising." Surely it is a house of preaching and praising. However, let us not forget that prayer is vital. Should we spend 30 minutes singing, 45-60 minutes preaching, and 5 minutes praying? Let us put more emphasis on praying. What happened to the old time prayer meeting? Revival comes when the church takes praying seriously.
