When I was young and in high school there was a lot of talk about the adverse consequences of "population explosion," with the focus on the problem of feeding the population of the planet. That was of course a time before our country, along with others, began to allow abortion. Ironically, fifty years later, the problem now is "population implosion." In "Story at a glance" (see here) we have this information.
"SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk shared an article on Twitter about slowing population growth.
“Population collapse is potentially the greatest risk to the future of civilization,” Musk tweeted.
The Wall Street Journal reported the U.S. population grew just 0.35 percent for the year ending July 1, 2020, the lowest ever documented.
More people died than were born in half of all states last year, The Wall Street Journal reported, and early estimates show the U.S. population grew just 0.35 percent in the year ending July 1, 2020 — the lowest ever documented, according to the outlet.
The billionaire, who is aiming to one day colonize Mars, has previously spoken out about the issue.
“Population collapse is a much bigger problem than people realize and that’s just for Earth.
Mars has a great need for people, seeing as population is currently zero,” he replied to a tweet earlier this month."
Is the threat of implosion one of the reasons why the Democrats have opened the US border to any and all who want to come here?
The problem is that we have aborted about 60 million babies since Roe v Wade. Also, contraception has been pushed to extremes, arising from the belief that the fewer the children the better. This is wrong thinking however. Says the word of God:
"Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; They shall not be ashamed, But shall speak with their enemies in the gate." (Psalm 127: 3-5)
It was the Satanists who sacrificed their children to idol gods.
In an article titled "The Abortion of the Old Testament: Child Sacrifice" the author writes these words (see here):
"Believe it or not, the injustice of killing the preborn has existed for thousands of years. We know abortion was practiced in Ancient Greece, and some sources say it was practiced in Ancient Egypt as early as 1550 BC. Humanity is so sinful that when we want something – no matter how evil it is – we will try any barbaric method to get it.
But today I want to talk about child sacrifice in Old Testament times. Really the only difference between abortion and child sacrifice (a.k.a. infanticide, like what Virginia’s Governor Northam was referring to in a video last year) is age and location. Abortion kills a baby before he or she is ready to be born; child sacrifice kills a child who is already born. Abortion kills a baby who hasn’t made it down the birth canal yet; child sacrifice kills a baby or older child who has made that six-inch journey.
So what did child sacrifice look like in Bible times? The pagan nations surrounding the Children of Israel sometimes practiced child sacrifice as part of a cult, such as the cult of the Canaanite god Molech or of Baal or other unnamed deities. Other times they sacrificed humans in response to defeat or crisis. Child sacrifice to Molech, or Molek, in particular is described many times in the Old Testament as burning their “sons and daughters in the fire” (Deuteronomy 12:31, NIV).
Another passage more generally states, “They sacrificed their sons and their daughters to false gods. They shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan, and the land was desecrated by their blood” (Psalm 106:37-38, NIV). This verse is referring to the Israelites’ turning away from God to the evil pagan practices of their neighbors.
What does God have to say about child sacrifice? It might send chills up your spine.
One of the best examples is in 2 Kings 21 when Manasseh King of Judah followed “the detestable practices of the nations the Lord had driven out before the Israelites.” He worshipped false gods, desecrated the temple, practiced witchcraft, and “sacrificed his own son in the fire.” And if that weren’t enough, “Moreover, Manasseh also shed so much innocent blood that he filled Jerusalem from end to end – besides the sin that he had caused Judah to commit.” He is said to be worse than the pagans themselves!
This is God’s response: “I am going to bring such disaster on Jerusalem and Judah that the ears of everyone who hears of it will tingle. I will stretch out over Jerusalem the measuring line used against Samaria and the plumb line used against the house of Ahab. I will wipe out Jerusalem as one wipes a dish, wiping it and turning it upside down. I will forsake the remnant of my inheritance and give them into the hands of enemies.”
We are living in an evil day when the ungodly are selling their souls to the Devil and offering their children to him as sacrifices. The Lord is coming to judge them for such evil atrocities.
I am glad that the Supreme Court has ruled that our Constitution does not give a woman a right to abort her child. However, it did not go far enough. They should have ruled that the child in the womb was a human being, a citizen, and therefore had rights, including the "right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness."
Population implosion? Well, of course.
Yes, so called Christians have failed to obey the very first commandment given by God..."be fruitful and multiply." Things have gotten so bad in Europe, that some countries are paying women the equivalent of $40,000.00 to get pregnant by any means possible. Other countries such as Hungary are giving tax breaks for life if a couple will have at least 3 children. Germany has closed over 1000 schools for lack of children. They are importing millions of Muslims from the mid east. If you dare speak the truth about the voluntary genocide western nations are practicing you'll be labeled "racist." Christians seem concerned that their churches are empty, yet they'd rather have 2 cars and a boat than have children. The Lord only blessed me with one son, but it wasn't for lack of trying. So, I became a foster parent.
ReplyDeleteOne Sunday I was at church, and a man gave a "testimony" of how he and his wife paid $70,000.00 to adopt a foreign child from overseas. It made me so sick I had to leave. I gave the benefit of the doubt until he said "overseas" as I didnt want to judge. Maybe he and his wife couldn't have kids. But why adopt and spend all that money for a foreign child, when over 1 million children are available at no cost in our own foster system? Imagine, if only 20% of professing Christians adopted an American child, our churches would instantly have 1 million more in attendance!
Several years ago there was a woman in our church, who had made it clear that she and her husband did not want children. She preferred exotic vacations and travel over children. Then a young man (who had lost his wife to illness) decided to adopt the foster child they had fostered, as he and his wife wanted children. That lady told him off and said "I think it's wrong for you to adopt if youre unmarried. A child should have a mother and a father" etc. The young man looked her dead in the eye and said "I do too." The woman then asked "Well why are you adopting a child then?" The young man replied "Because you wouldn't."
We live in a day when gays are getting married and having kids, while Christians are getting divorced and not having them. The liberals detest children as a burden "to the planet." They abort more babies than they give birth to. 30% of young people who are of child rearing age are on drugs. Fentanyl is the number one killer of people in the 18 to 40 age group. The chinese produce this and send it here, as it depletes the number of fighting aged males. The "Christians" prevent pregnancy in favor of possessions. Then all of them will demand someone take care of them in their old age. I say, if you hate children and prevent them from life, you deserve abandonment in your old age.
Amen!
ReplyDeleteMy first wife and I only had two children, but we would have had more had she not left me for another. My second wife had two teenagers when we married and I helped raise them. She was unable to have any more children.
Thanks for the good comment.
