PB Church Requests Questions
Grace Primitive Baptist Church of Pearl, Mississippi (See here) has a list of Elder David Pyles sermons and writings and at the bottom of the page they have a link for "Submit Questions." I thought about leaving a question or two but did not do so because I think it would be ignored. But, perhaps some of our readers might want to go there and ask some questions, such as I would like to see asked and answered. I would begin with asking - "did the first generation of 'Primitive Baptists' in the 1830s - 1860s generally believe in the gospel means position or not? If they did not, can you show where they did not?" I wonder if David would respond to someone else who asks that question and what his answer would be? What think ye?
He has written extensively on this subject. If you wish to know his position you could actually read what he has written.
ReplyDeleteDear Anon: I have read lots of stuff by David. Can you point to a specific article? Did he say that the founders of the pb church denied means? Will you please answer me?
ReplyDeleteDear Anon: I just went to Grace Church's web page and looked at the list of articles by David and not a single one on church history. He did have one article on the original Mississippi Baptists articles of faith but no comment, which articles are not in agreement with David's and Hardshell views. "Extensively" written on the beliefs of the first generation of primitive Baptists (early 19th century)? I demand you prove this for I do not believe that he has written extensively on pb history as I have.
ReplyDeleteDear Anon: After a few days it is time for me to say that it is clear that you have no intention of doing what I asked. It is clear to me that you were telling a lie when you said that David had written extensively on what the first generation of Hardshells believed about the necessity of hearing the gospel to be saved. You sir are not only a liar but a coward for you will not give us your name. You prove my thesis for my book on the Hardshell Baptists which avers that they are a cult. I have also shown how they are not reluctant to lie about their history, having given numerous proofs of this in this and other blogs.
