PB "Direct Voice" & Pentecostalism's Rhema Doctrine

For several years I have been wanting to write about the similarity between the "direct speaking" idea of Hardshellism (where Jesus speaks by his voice directly to souls apart from the written word) and the "rhema" doctrine of some Pentecostals. Did you know that these Pentecostals say that God speaks to them apart from the written or preached word and this they call the "rhema" speaking of Christ in contrast to the "logos" word of the bible? Many of these Pentecostals put more stock in the word they hear God speak to them (often they say, as do the Hardshells, in a "still small voice") than to what is written. This is a dangerous heresy whether it comes from Hardshells or Pentecostals. More later, the Lord willing.
