"Sanctify them by your truth. Your word is truth." (John 17: 17)
If any Christian desires more holiness, to increase in sanctification, he must learn more truth. The saints are they who have been sanctified by the truth of the word of God, the truth of the gospel.
"Without holiness no one will see the Lord" (Heb. 12: 14).
"God has from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth" (II Thess. 2: 13).
Wrote the hymn writer:
"Take time to be holy, speak oft with thy Lord;
Abide in Him always, and feed on His Word."
