Now, can one not discern from this that those PBs who today deny the preaching of the gospel to be God's ordained means of calling his elect to salvation hold not to the primitive or original view?

How come I knew very little or nothing at all about the first 39 men on this list when I was with the PBs myself? Or how come I was never told?

For many PB leaders, they simply either lied about their history, or hid such facts from their members. Is this not a cult tactic? Keep the members in the dark about their history! Give them instead a fairy tale history! Few if any will want to research the matter for themselves. Many, when learning this information, go to work to deal with the dissonance. Most, sadly, in the wrong way.
I am still adding a few names to the list. Some kind of cross lines between being in the first or second generation category. Those who began their ministry prior to the Civil War are generally in the first generation.
Also, all the names mentioned represent the results of my having read the writings of these men and their associates.
