Speedy Executions

"Because the sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil." (Eccl. 8: 11)

Failure to quickly try and execute sentence against criminals, as we see in our country today, has caused criminals to be fully set in doing evil and committing crime.

God's longsuffering and forbearance also has had this effect on the wickedness of men.  His choice to not execute speedily is allowable, however, as he is God and has good purpose in it. Not so with human courts, however. I don't think we need to be too quick or too late. Sentencing a man to death and then waiting many years to carry out the sentence is not right.

The lax treatment of criminals, such as murderers, rapists, thieves, etc., will encourage criminals. Our allowing criminals to be released without bail, or giving them lax sentences, is creating the proliferation of criminal activity that we see today in our country.

It is also a bad omen to see law abiding citizens arrested for not wearing masks, going to church, etc., and their being persecuted and losing their jobs because they are law abiding and conservative, and refuse to take an untested vaccine, etc.

If we had quick trials for murderers and those guilty of mass killings, and had public hangings for such evil people, I can assure you that it would help restrain other would be murderers.
