Primitive preaching, by the prophets, Christ, the Apostles, by our Baptist forefathers, including that done by those who were the founders of today's "Primitive Baptist Church," involved preaching directly to lost sinners. Why do we not find this type of preaching among today's Hardshells? Can they address, exhort, teach, and command lost sinners? Oh this is so sad! I wrote extensively on this in my series "Addresses To The Lost" in the Hardshell Cult book (series). When I survey the preaching of our Lord and his apostles, I see how different it is as compared to Hardshell preaching! They spoke to spiritually dead sinners and told them how they could be saved! Why cannot our Hardshell brethren do the same? God is not going to bless preaching that does not address lost sinners. Read what Elder John Watson said about this in his book "The Old Baptist Test." Also, see how Elder Grigg Thompson addressed sinners. (Search the Archives)
